Jason Speviak

Before stepping down in 2005 to pursue entrepreneurial interests, Jason Spievak was a Director, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Business Development at CallWave, Inc., (Nasdaq: CALL) a growing and profitable voice-over-internet software and service provider based in Santa Barbara, California. Jason led CallWave’s successful IPO in September 2004 and was a key member of the senior team that brought the company to 12 consecutive quarters of revenue growth, GAAP profitability and positive cash flows. In both business development and finance leadership roles at CallWave, Jason was principally involved in developing, implementing and managing direct and indirect customer acquisition strategies which grew CallWave’s paid subscriber base to more than 750,000 during his four-year tenure.


Prior to CallWave, Jason was a Vice President in the technology mergers and acquisitions group in Broadview International's Silicon Valley office, where he specialized in enterprise software, network infrastructure and internet services transactions. While at Broadview, Jason led or was directly involved with successful M&A transactions and private placements representing over $1.25 billion in aggregate consideration. Before joining Broadview, Jason held product management roles with Netopia, a developer of Internet/Intranet communications products where he helped the company complete its successful IPO in 1996, and also with Nextel Communications' wireless data division.

As a board member, Jason has contributed to the development of several early-stage communications technology companies. He is currently a member of the boards of directors of Communication Services, Inc, and Casabi, Inc., and until recently, served on the board of directors of CallWave, Inc., alongside Oracle chairman Jeff Henley and Apollo Group co-founder Peter Sperling. He is also a member of the board of managers of Daedalus Real Estate Advisors LLC, which is the sole investor in One Willow Bridge Road, a luxury residential and retail development currently under construction in Vail, Colorado. Jason is also an active member of the advisory boards of two venture-backed communications technology companies.

Jason earned his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and his BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
